Schaumburg expands Woodfield Trolley service for summer

The Village of Schaumburg's Woodfield Trolley is offering daily service again now through Labor Day. The village offered the service last summer and gave more than 10,000 rides to patrons.

The trolley is free and provides service to nine stops, with front door service to eight stops including Woodfield Mall, Streets of Woodfield, Woodfield Village Green, IKEA and the Schaumburg Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center.

Summer service hours for the trolley are noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, running every 30 minutes; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, running every 20 minutes; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays, running every 30 minutes.

The trolley reverts to its regular weekend service schedule after Labor Day, Sept. 5.
