Thousands to pack meals for hungry this weekend in Schaumburg

As many as 5,000 volunteers are expected to take part in Feed My Starving Children's Hope Filled Holiday event Friday through Sunday at the Schaumburg Convention Center's Adventure Hall.

The volunteers are expected to pack 1 million meals over the course of the three days, to be distributed to people in need in 70 countries around the world. That's enough to feed about 2,740 children for a year, according to Feed My Starving Children.
