Lakes d. Mundelein: Still perfect.
That's the Lakes volleyball team.
The Eagles rolled to 15-0 on the season with a 25-18, 25-18 victory over Mundelein in nonconference action.
Erica Grant had a team-high 5 kills while Keenan Bell and Katie Billetdeaux added 4 and 3 kills respectively.
Alyssa Bombicino led the defense with 8 digs and setters Rachel Orpano and Devinn Bell had 8 and 7 assists respectively.
For Mundelein, Alexis Naddy had 5 kills and Isabella Cartland had 4 kills.
Diana Orozco led the defense with 9 digs and setters Claudia Wilcox and Faith Krabbe had 4 and 3 assists respectively.
Mundelein is now 8-12 on the season.
Grayslake Central d. Lake Forest: Grayslake Central improvd to 16-8 on the season with a 25-10, 25-18 sweep of Lake Forest.
Cassidy Beshel led the Rams with 8 kills and 2 blocks while setter Lauren LaBeck had 22 assists, 5 kills and 2 aces.
Amber Moser added 5 kills and 2 aces and Michelle Maraist had 4 kills.
Abby Marassa led the defense with 8 digs.
"Our girls played well tonight against a scrappy Lake Forest team," Grayslake Central coach Jason Janczak said. "We had a good night at the serving line and at the net. It was great for the team to come together and put together this quality win."
Lake Zurich d. Antioch: Antioch dropped to 16-8-1 on the season with a 25-12, 25-23 loss to Lake Zurich.
Kat Barr led the Sequoits with 7 kills and 8 digs. Cenie Frieson added 4 kills and 9 digs.
Setter Kennedy Moll finished with 10 assists.
Maine East d. Vernon Hills: Vernon Hills was swept in Central Suburban League action, 25-15, 25-21.
Senior libero Aleen Lim led the Cougars' defense with 18 digs.
Zoe Eitel, Ally Chase, Rachel Wright and Maddie Bowen each had 3 kills.
Vernon Hills is now 7-13 and 0-4 in league play.
St. Charles North d. Libertyville: St. Charles swept Libertyville, 25-12, 25-14.
