Veteran DT Chris Jones claimed off waivers by Dolphins

MIAMI (AP) - Veteran defensive tackle Chris Jones has been claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins after missing last season because of an injury.
Jones started for the New England Patriots in 2013 and 2014 but was on the physically unable to perform list last year. New England cut him on Friday.
A sixth-round draft pick by Houston in 2013, Jones will provide depth at tackle for the Dolphins, who also have Ndamukong Suh, Earl Mitchell and Jordan Phillips. Miami claimed Jones on Monday.
