Bears agree to contract with former Panthers OL Chandler

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - The Chicago Bears have agreed to a contract with former Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Nate Chandler.

Chandler has appeared in 37 games with 19 starts since entering the league with the Panthers in 2012. He sat out last season because of a right knee injury.

A former UCLA player, Chandler began his NFL career as a defensive tackle before switching to the offensive line in 2013. All of his starts have been on the offensive line.

Chandler joins a team that went 6-10 last season. The Bears announced the move on Friday.
