Search for eagles along Fox River
The annual search for eagles along the Fox River will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. Wildlife experts will be at dams along the Fox River in McHenry, Algonquin and Carpentersville to search for the iconic national bird. Members of McHenry County Audubon representatives from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Friends of Hackmatack Wildlife Refuge and will be on hand. Scopes and binoculars are available for use at each location, as well as kids' activities. Maps to the locations are available on www.MCCDistrict.org under special events.
