White Sox, Cubs offer ticket holders refund options
White Sox and Cubs ticket holders are not going to be on the hook for the first two-plus months of the season.
Both major-league teams are offering refunds to fans who purchased tickets for games through May 31.
The coronavirus pandemic shut down the league on March 12.
MLB is still hoping to play an abbreviated season, possibly with no fans in the stands.
In lieu of refunds, Cubs and Sox fans holding tickets can use them for future games with 5% interest.
"We greatly appreciate the continued patience of our fans throughout these uncertain weeks, and we will continue to share the latest information available as the situation progresses," the White Sox said. "Anyone with questions about tickets for White Sox home games through May 31 should contact the White Sox at tickets@chisox.com.
