Fox Valley Hands of Hope to host 'A Walk to Remember' Sept. 23

On Saturday, Sept. 23, Fox Valley Hands of Hope will hold its annual "A Walk to Remember," a 5K family fun run and walk.

Join them that day in remembering your loved one and celebrating their life. "A Walk to Remember" is a time when family and friends gather on a crisp fall morning and walk the beautiful Fox River loop in honor or in memory of a loved one. The comfortable and beautiful 5K course, starting at the Peg Bond Center in downtown Batavia, can be completed by most in under an hour.

• Walk with them to remember a loved one and celebrate their life

• Walk with them to honor those faced with a life-threatening illness

• Walk to raise money for Fox Valley Hands of Hope for those who will seek its life-changing services in the future.

A memory board is displayed at the event where walkers can post photos and mementos of their loved ones, personalized badges are given to all walkers honoring their loved one.

Registration is $35, $20 for ages 7-12, or free for those age 6 or younger.

Proceeds of this event enable Fox Valley Hands of Hope to achieve our mission of enhancing the quality of life and to provide hope for those experiencing grief or life-threatening illness.
