Jarrett Payton visits St. Hubert School with words of wisdom for students
St. Hubert Catholic School, in Hoffman Estates, celebrated National Catholic Schools Week with a visit from parent and motivational speaker Jarrett Payton.
Payton complimented the week's theme, "Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service," with personal stories of his own experience in Catholic schools. He shared heartfelt stories about his father and other adults he considers the "spotters" in his life and reminded the students that their teachers and peers are just those people. Payton also emphasized the importance of giving back and making a difference in the lives of others.
The students enjoyed a truly special moment from a celebrity whose inspirational words touched all in attendance.
Assistant Principal Marcia Larson added, "Now when we all watch the Super Bowl on Sunday and see Payton present the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, our students will be able to see beyond the famous face and family and remember hearing this wonderful man with a great heart."
St. Hubert Catholic School serves students in preschool through grade eight and is now accepting registration for the 2017-2018 school year. For information, contact the main school office at (847) 885-7702 or visit www.sthubert school.org to learn more about this 2014 National Blue Ribbon School.
