Cardinals re-sign Brown, Jefferson, Swearinger
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed safety Tony Jefferson, wide receiver Jaron Brown and safety D.J. Swearinger.
All three were restricted free agents and signed the team's one-year qualifying offers.
Jefferson set career highs with 75 tackles, 56 solo, with two interceptions and three forced fumbles. Brown caught 11 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown last season and made five special teams tackles.
Swearinger signed with the Cardinals last December and appeared in four games with eight tackles, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble.
