Arboretum's Wine and Art Walk showcases artists
The walking path circling the Morton Arboretum's Meadow Lake will be transformed one weekend next month as local and regional artisans display their nature-inspired art in the second annual Wine and Art Walk.
Ceramic and wood pieces, jewelry, photography, blown glass and more will be on display during the Wine and Art Walk from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 19 and 20, at 4100 Route 53, Lisle.
Free with admission, the event will feature works from more than 35 Midwestern artists. Visitors can shop one-of-a-kind pieces during this juried show while enjoying a selection of wines and other beverages that will be for sale.
"Last year's event was a huge success, and we're looking forward to hosting the second Wine and Art Walk with more than double the number of artists featured last year," said Jacque Fucilla, manager of the Arboretum Store.
"The Wine and Art Walk is a great way to take in the beauty of the arboretum's grounds on one of the last weekends of summer."
Most art ranges in price from $50 to $1,500. For a complete list of artists, visit mortonarb.org.
Regular arboretum admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors 65 and older, $9 for ages 2 to 17 and free for younger children and members.
