Supper to end hunger

An Empty Bowl Soup Supper to Help End Hunger in Our Midst is set for 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Christ Lutheran Church, 595 N. Deerpath Drive, Vernon Hills. For the suggested donation of $10 per person, attendees will enjoy a meal and take home a hand-decorated bowl as a reminder of those whose own bowls are often empty. Children under 5 eat free. Every dollar will go directly to Waukegan's COOL Food Pantry, which has been struggling to keep up with the demand from families coming from across Lake County.
