Lake in the Hills police investigating man's death

Lake in the Hills police are investigating a man's death Friday night, officials said.

Police were called to the 1100 block of Burr Street around 5 p.m. for a fight between two neighbors, according to a news release.

Officers tried to speak to one of the people involved, but he refused to open the door to an interior room. one of the neighbors, but he refused to open the door, the release said. Police then heard a single gunshot and called the McHenry County SWAT team. After the man didn't answer, SWAT officers entered the home and found one man dead.

Police say there is no threat to public safety.

Lake in the Hills police and the McHenry County coroner's office are investigating.
