Eli Skinner DAR Chapter Sponsors Essay Contest

The Eli Skinner Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is sponsoring an essay contest for students in grades 5 through 8 in public, private, and home schools.

The year 2018 will mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the "great war", and the title of the essay is to be," World War I: Remembering the War to End All Wars". Students are asked to pretend that they are living in 1918, where they lived, and how the end of the war would impact their daily life. They are also to write about the changes -negative and positive-the war introduced to society and how these changes might alter our society in years to come.

Deadline for the chapter to receive the essays is November 16, 2017. For guidelines and
