Girls volleyball: Hickey, Claffey help St. Viator top Libertyville

The St. Viator girls volleyball team traveled north on Saturday, and so did its win column.

Senior Catherine Hickey put down 14 kills and classmate Kendall Claffey added 13 as the Lions defeated host Libertyville 25-18, 25-21 in the nonconference match.

Senior setter Michaela Mueller served 4 aces and handed out 31 assists for St. Viator (6-3) which also received 3 aces from Hickey. Junior Kate Nottoli had 2 blocks while junior libero Carrie Leazer led the defense with 14 digs.
