Lakemoor Golf Club maintenance building destroyed by fire

A maintenance building at the Lakemoor Golf Club, 29000 W. Sullivan Lake Road, was destroyed by a fire Thursday. The blaze was reported about 10:30 a.m. and was already heavy by the time Fox Lake firefighters arrived. Firefighters and tankers from other departments were called in to battle the blaze, which was under control in about an hour but took several hours to extinguish. The fire was under investigation Thursday afternoon.
