Four-match

After Friday victories, WW South and Downers North will meet in the second round in Class 7A. It'll be their fourth playoff meeting, with the Trojans holding a 2-1 edge.

Upstate ouch

The Upstate Eight Conference entered the playoffs with five qualifiers but four lost on Friday. South Elgin, which plays Oswego East Saturday, is the last team standing.

You again?

Next week Glenbard North faces Mt. Carmel for the fifth time in the playoffs. The Panthers beat the Caravan in the 2007 semis and lost to them in the 2012 title game.
