Girls volleyball: New Trier rallies to end Prospect's season

Going up against No. 2 seeded New Trier in the Class 4A Niles West regional girls volleyball championship, No. 10 Prospect stunned the Trevians in the first set.

But the girls from Winnetka struck back for a 23-25, 25-15, 25-17 triumph to advance to Monday's Loyola sectional semifinal where they will meet Fremd at 6:30 p.m.

The Knights, led by Grace Cacini (10 kills), Emma Cogan (5 kills) and Sloane Petlak (4 kills), finished their season at 19-19.

Sarah Skaggs set the offense with 14 assists and she also had 6 digs. Mia Farraday led with 10 digs.
