Schaumburg Citizen Police Academy to start in March

Meet and interact on a personal level with members of the Schaumburg Police Department by participating in the Citizen Police Academy this spring.

Classes will be Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9 p.m. beginning March 8 and run for 10 weeks.

Participants will experience many facets of law enforcement with class topics covering patrol, investigations, support services and training.

The experience is not limited to classroom lectures. Participants will take part in a patrol ride-along, participate in firearms training on the range and practice mock traffic stops.
