Hawthorn's Summer Music Camp Starts Off on a High Note

More than 300 students arrived at Hawthorn Middle School South in Vernon Hills for the first day of Summer Band and Orchestra Camp on July 16. The two-week camp engages fifth through ninth grade students in large group rehearsals, small group sectionals, music theory classes as well as organized games and activities. Their work culminates in a community concert on Friday, July 27, at 1:00 p.m. at Middle School South, 600 N. Aspen Drive in Vernon Hills.
