In an effort to help prevent veterans' suicide, state Rep. Linda Chapa LaVia, D-Aurora, and state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, invite veterans and their families to participate with members of the Task Force on Veterans' Suicide in a meeting to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, in Academic and Professional Center, Room 110D on the north side of Waubonsee Community College, Route 47 and Waubonsee Drive, Sugar Grove. Parking is available in lots N8, N4, N5 and N2.

Kifowit and Chapa LaVia sponsored legislation creating a Task Force on Veteran Suicide. The task force, which has already met in Springfield and Belleville, is now meeting at locations across suburban Chicago to allow veterans and those affected by veterans' suicide to personally share their views.
