St. James School Awarded SCIRA Grant

Congratulations to Mrs. Sharon Dillon whose grant proposal was accepted by SCIRA (Suburban Council of The Illinois Reading Association!

Students will now have the opportunity to read 80+ new and engaging nonfiction texts for the school library. These high interest texts carry a wealth of information enabling readers to build their background knowledge as well as expose them to current information while connecting them to the world around them.

We appreciate SCIRA's interest in St. James and appreciate their generosity to our students. Children will LOVE the opportunity to read more nonfiction texts.
