McHenry postal worker charged with stealing mailed cash
A former postal worker from McHenry is accused of stealing $3,500 in cash out of mail addressed to someone in Tennessee.
Jennifer L. Duncan, 51, was indicted Tuesday on federal mail theft charges, authorities said. She faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
Authorities said Duncan was working in her capacity as a U.S. Postal Service employee when she stole the cash on Feb. 20.
Duncan also faces a fine of up to $250,000 if found guilty.
