UL Honors Veterans With Celebration at Northbrook Campus
As part of its Veterans Day celebration on Thursday, November 11, UL, through its Military Business Resource Group (MBRG), dedicated a plaque honoring UL employees who have served in the military. The ceremony included Jennifer Scanlon, president and chief executive officer of UL; Retired Lieutenant General Charles Hooper, a member of UL's board of directors; and other UL veterans.
As part of UL's commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable and diverse workplace, the company supports the MBRG in honoring military veterans and their families. The MBRG hopes the plaque will be a permanent reminder of the support the group and UL wish to provide to military members, veterans and their families worldwide.
The MBRG's purpose is to make a positive impact on veterans and their families. It is open to any employee who was or is in the military, employees with a friend or family member who has served or is still serving, and any employee interested in promoting awareness of military and veteran issues.
The group wants to create meaningful networking opportunities for veterans or active military employees, support veteran causes and help connect veterans with career opportunities, including those at UL.
