Holiday tree recycling in Vernon Hills
Vernon Hills public works will pickup holiday trees for recycling from Monday, Jan. 6 through Thursday, Jan. 9.
The tree should be at the curb by 7 a.m. the day of your pickup, with all lights, ornaments, stands and bags removed from the tree. Trees left in a bag will not be recycled but sent to a landfill with the regular trash.
Public works will not pick up trees after Jan. 10, but trees can be brought to the public works building, 490 Greenleaf Drive, for recycling. Waste hauler Advanced Disposal will pick up trees Jan. 13 through Feb. 14.
