Schaumburg water main break repaired, roads fully reopened

A water main break in the parkway near the eastbound lanes of Schaumburg Road approaching Roselle Road snarled the morning commute in the area Monday.

The break slowed traffic in both directions overnight and through the morning, and temporarily closed a lane of eastbound Schaumburg Road. All lanes were reopened by about 11:30 a.m., according to the village.

The break also decreased residents' and business' water pressure in the area, but service was fully restored by about 9 a.m.
