BIBIBOP restaurant opens in Schaumburg Aug. 11

BIBIBOP Asian Grill restaurants will hold a grand opening featuring free food at its new Schaumburg location on Friday, Aug. 11. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1022 N. Meacham Road. There will be a limit of one free food order per person present, while supplies last.

The Columbus, Ohio-based chain is opening two Chicago-area restaurants this month, with the other at 24 E. Jackson Blvd. in the Loop opening first, on Monday, Aug. 7.

The chain's concept features an Americanized twist on the traditional Korean dish "bibimbap," or rice mixed with other ingredients.

Korean-inspired BIBIBOP restaurants are in Los Angeles, Cleveland, Washington, D.C., and neighboring Maryland communities.
