Saints' Davenport making season debut, Chargers' Bosa active

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Saints defensive end Marcus Davenport is set to make his season debut and Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa also has been activated for Monday night's game between Los Angeles and New Orleans.

Davenport has missed the Saints' first four games with elbow and toe injuries and had been listed as questionable on the club's final injury report of the week on Saturday.

Likewise, Bosa (triceps, knee) and receiver Mike Williams (hamstring) both were listed as questionable, but have been cleared to play.

Davenport is one of three Saints who did not play in a victory at Detroit in Week 4 who've been cleared to play after being listed as questionable, along with cornerback Marshon Lattimore (hamstring), left guard Andrus Peat (ankle) and tight end Jared Cook (groin).

Saints defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins, also listed as questionable because of a thumb injury, remains active as he has been through the first four games.

Four inactive Saints - return man and receiver Deonte Harris (hamstring), receiver Michael Thomas (discipline), cornerback Janoris Jenkins (shoulder) and reserve defensive back Justin Hardee (hamstring) - already had been ruled out.

The other Saints scratched from Monday's lineup are rookie tight end Adam Trautman, reserve offensive lineman Ethan Greenidge and rookie defensive lineman Malcolm Roach.

The Chargers had already ruled out right tackle Bryan Bulaga (back), right guard Trai Turner (groin) and quarterback Tyrod Taylor (ribs, chest).

The Chargers have also de-activated receivers Jason Moore and Joe Reed, safety Jahleel Addae and defensive end Joe Gaziano.
