Grayslake Central 15, Wauconda 7: The Rams jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the Northern Lake County game.

Grayslake Central (21-3, 11-2) pounded out 16 hits, led by Kevin O'Brien, who was 3-for-3 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Nic Presutti had a triple and single and 3 RBI, Benton Troehler had a double and single and 2 RBI, Tony Neuman doubled and Joey Webster, Nate Twardock and Daniel Guckenberger all chipped in with a pair of singles.

Ray Bradley, Ethan Peterson and Devin Coxon shared mound duties with Bradley picking up the win to improve his record to 5-0 on the season.

For Wauconda, both Brock Galvey (2 RBI) and Riley Kirk were 3-for-4 with a double. Jake Harmon homered and knocked in 2, Anthony Bonk went 2-for-3, and Brett Winkel had a double and an RBI.

Warren 10, Zion-Benton 0: Mikey Kocen was 2-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI, and Kyle Duenas allowed 1 hit over 4 innings, as the Blue Devils won the North Suburban game in five innings.

Joshua Nitch (2 RBI), Danny Ahn and Casey Cobe all had doubles for Warren (18-10, 12-6).

Stevenson 7, Fremd 6: The Patriots scored 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth to break a 2-2 tie en route to the nonconference win.

Jack Housinger tripled and drove in a run for Stevenson (17-11-1), Ryan McElhinny doubled, and Caleb Evans had a single and 2 RBI.

Michael Thon got a no-decision for the Patriots but pitched 4 innings and allowed only 1 run.

St. Viator 8, Carmel 5: The Corsairs dropped the East Suburban Catholic game, despite solo homers from Austin Ehren (2-for-4), Jay Ward and Lukas Galdoni.

Ben Wiegman had a double for Carmel.

Highland Park 8, Vernon Hills 3: Highland Park scored 4 (2 earned) on 2 hits against starter Danny Wizceb in the Central Suburban North game.

Tony Brown and Jack Barzcz each had 2 hits for Vernon Hills (8-16-1, 2-11)
