St. Charles church to host outdoor Easter services
St. Charles Episcopal Church welcomes the community to their outdoor parking lot services on Palm Sunday, March 28, and Easter Sunday, April 4. Both services will begin at 9:30 a.m.
The church also will be live streaming these services to the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/StCharlesEpiscopalIL.
The ministers plan to be outside with attendees, however no speakers will be used; audio will be sent through an FM transmitter you will access through your FM radio. You may bring a lawn chair with you, but no seating will be provided.
There will be no Holy Communion on Palm Sunday, but there will be palms for each attendee.
Plan to wear a mask and practice social distancing. You will need to be wearing a mask to receive palms and Holy Communion, even if you are seated in your car. This is to protect you as well as the people bringing items to you. You are welcome to remove your mask if you are in your car with the windows rolled up during the entire service. When you are out of your vehicle, face masks and social distancing are required.
Plan to dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. Please plan to arrive before 9:30 a.m. so the team can assist you with parking and seating and allow the service to begin on schedule. While restroom facilities will be available, they are encouraging attendees not to enter the building unless the need is absolutely urgent.
St. Charles Episcopal is located at 994 N. Fifth Ave. in St. Charles. For more information, visit the church website at www.stcharlesepiscopal.org
