Park Ridge man accused of sexually assaulting child

A man from Park Ridge was arrested last week for sexually assaulting a child on four separate occasions while living with the victim's family, authorities said Thursday.

Park Ridge police on Aug. 13 received a report of a sexual assault. An investigation determined Sammy Colon, 41, molested a victim younger than 13 on four separate times from June 6 to Aug. 11, authorities said.

Colon was arrested Nov. 5 and charged with four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to a news release.
