Contemporary events & wedding venue set for Hotel Inidgo

Q: Tell us about Elements at Water Street?

A: Elements is an organic contemporary events and wedding venue occupying the entire second floor of Naperville's only down town hotel, the Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk.

Q: Describe the atmosphere.

A: The design is very rustic urban with its decor pieces, hard surfaces and connection to downtown Naperville history. It features a wood ribbon ceiling that captures the unique organic contemporary feel. Natural stone and floor to ceiling architectural windows surround the 250 seat main ballroom, while the open air views of the Naperville Riverwalk open the space up to our separate pre reception space accommodating guests prior to the main function in the ballroom.

Q: What attracts corporate clients?

A: Elements will offer a vast menu style, allowing our hospitality team to accommodate a wide range of culinary requests. The menu choices available to our corporate guests will accommodate meal period or time of day. These menus will offer the same Elements style of lighter, fresher and locally soured specialty items. Our private boardroom style meeting space can comfortably seat any meeting group from 20 to 100 people set up in a variety of styles. Separate pre function space is open air to the Riverwalk on the second floor and allows for access to our 28-foot balcony. The best thing is that our corporate guests may share in all the amenities of a luxury hotel with free on-site parking and valet services. Guests can expect not just a comfortable bed, but exquisite views, excellent service, and an experience like none other.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself.

A: What is your past experience in the industry? Back in 1995, I was the first person in Illinois to graduate a 4-year culinary college with a Bachelors in Culinary Arts. This enticing east coast degree paired with some energetic passion, landed me some great jobs working for some great chefs. I held positions at the Hyatt Lodge at McDonald's area headquarters, the first Wydham Hamilton Hotel in Elk Grove and finally the Drake hotel. The startup of my off premise catering company, Chef By Request, was gradual and mainly focused on high end social jobs at first. It was the great success and superb clientele that allowed me to visualize a high end on premise venue like Elements. Four years of strategy, planning and waiting for the perfect partnership landed me with Naperville based Marquette properties and Hotel Indigo to be a part of down town Naperville's largest single development.

Q: What are some hospitality features that you are willing to give away to our readers before opening?

A: Besides décor and design, Elements is passionate about the menu and wine program. We will feature a grass roots style menu, plus offer trendy theme stations, late night snack menu and more unique custom buffets. Our wine program features a more premium house glass of wine along with a custom wall wine cellar with chef collected wine list.

Q: When will you start taking event bookings for this new Naperville property?

A: Construction downtown Naperville has gone very, very well with the mild winter. Even though we do not anticipate opening until early November, our team is busy now taking inquiries and assisting potential clients with questions, menu proposals and room blocks. Interested people should call or email now for events beginning the holidays of 2016 and well into the year 2017.

Q: Tell us about the Hotel Indigo.

A: No two neighborhoods are alike and neither are any two Hotel Indigo properties. As a the luxury boutique lifestyle brand of InterContinental Hotel Group, Hotel Indigo specializes in emphasizing the local culture. Hard at work with The Gettys Group and the Naper Settlement the Hotel Indigo with feature tasteful touches of Naperville's history throughout the hotel and Elements.
