CLC celebrates new Vernon Hills lab

College of Lake County this week celebrated the completion of a chemistry laboratory at the Southlake Campus in Vernon Hills. Board members, before a meeting Tuesday, cut the ribbon for the 2,500-square-foot chemistry lab addition scheduled to open May 17. Officials said the lab will accommodate 18 to 20 students per class. "With the opening of this building in 2007, the college transformed Southlake from an educational center to a full campus," board Chairman William Griffin said.
