Hazardous household waste recycling drive-thru June 5 in Aurora

Illinois residents can safely recycle household hazardous waste materials for free this weekend in Aurora.

The Hazardous Household Waste Recycling Drive-Thru will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, in downtown Aurora at 309 N. River St.

Participants must register for a time slot.

Hosted by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Kane County, and DuPage County in collaboration with the City of Aurora, the no-contact drive-thru is free and open to all residents of Illinois.

Registration is open at www.tinyurl.com/HHWRecyclingJune5.

All approved waste materials must be clearly labeled, safely packaged, and placed in trunks or backseats where volunteers will collect it upon entry at the site.
