Mount Prospect police arrest suspect in burglary

Mount Prospect police said Friday that they arrested an Elk Grove Village man for a Sept 8. burglary on the 800 block of South We Go Trail.

Matthew Cadwell, 30, of the 200 block of Washington Avenue, has been charged with one count of residential burglary.

Responding Sept. 8, officers found a broken window on an exterior door to the basement. A landscaping rock appeared to have been used to break the window. Cash had been stolen from the ransacked house.

Police said they found a palm print that matched Cadwell's. He has a Nov. 9 court date in Rolling Meadows.
