No injuries after crash involving SUV, truck hauling a manufactured home near Volo

A crash between an SUV and a semi-truck hauling a manufactured home shut down a section of Route 12 near YMCA Camp Duncan north of Volo Thursday morning.

Lakemoor Police Deputy Chief George Manis said the driver of the white SUV cut in front of the semi-truck, which was headed southbound on Route 12.

The driver of the semi-truck was unable to avoid a collision and the crash sent the SUV into a ditch and tore the manufactured home in half, Manis said.

Northbound Route 12 was closed for hours while workers removed pieces of the broken home, Manis said.

No one was injured in the crash.

Manis said the driver of the SUV was cited for not yielding the right of way.
