No injuries in Naperville deck fire

No injuries were reported in a Naperville deck fire Wednesday morning that caused an estimated $20,000 in damage, authorities said.

The first of 10 vehicles from the Naperville Fire Department arrived at the single-family home in the 30W100 block of Claymore Lane about 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters saw flames on the rear deck of the home and were able to get the fire under control within 10 minutes. Damage was limited to the exterior of the home, which was deemed habitable by the Naperville Transportation, Engineering and Development Team.

Residents of the home noticed the fire when they walked downstairs. All four residents exited safely before firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
