Stevens, Libertyville impress in home opener

Jack Stevens served 10 aces and slammed 3 kills, and Libertyville's boys volleyball beat Grayslake North 25-6, 25-5 in its home opener Tuesday night.

Drew Fortini and Mark Demaree each had 5 kills for the Wildcats, as Ryan Hirschel dished out 20 assists. Sam Kharasch registered 15 digs.

"The boys did a great job staying consistent throughout the match while playing nearly error-free," Libertyville coach Jenny Smith said.

Grayslake North's Brandon LeBaron had 1 kills on 6-of-7 hitting. Marshal Diep had 4 digs for the Knights, and Cody Seeleye was 19-of-20 setting with 2 assists.
