Red-light camera law worth it if lives saved

From the Your View letter of Feb. 12, "Suburban townships with the red-light cameras will, come Election Day, find out what the voters think of them.": What's all this crying and threatening? The law came first then the cameras. Repeal the law! If the cameras save a life, your child or spouse, wouldn/t it be worth it to compel some of the drivers to abide by the law?
