Pedestrian struck in Schaumburg hit-and-run accident
A pedestrian was injured in Schaumburg Sunday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene of the accident, according to police officials.
Schaumburg police responded to the scene on the eastbound lanes of Wise Road near Salem Drive just after 5 p.m. and found the pedestrian, who had suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital. The driver fled the scene and has yet to be located.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further information was available late Sunday.
