Democrats offer best hope in Washington
I'm looking for people that are willing to stand up to the special interests, will protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare, strengthen our gun laws, tackle income inequality, combat climate change, protect women's right to choose and work for the people and our veterans.
That's why I'm voting for Raja Krishnamoorthi for Congress and Tammy Duckworth for Senate.
Raja, as the Daily Herald's endorsement states, "brings to this race experience that is broad and deep, both in public service and in the business world" and "presents an unusually expansive range of experience that can have special value for the issues likely to dominate Congress in the years ahead."
I love his competence, passion and high energy.
Tammy has shown that she cares and works by putting families and veterans first. She has served our community and country for years. She is a hero and knows what sacrifice and commitment mean.
She will make America strong from the ground up, not the top down.
We need members of Congress that don't believe in "politics as usual" and are willing to find real solutions to problems that matter to our families and communities first.
