Mount Prospect American Legion Golf Outing Benefits Homeless Veterans

The eighth annual Legion Fall Classic golf tournament will be held on Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Mount Prospect Golf Course, 600 S. See Gwun Ave., Mount Prospect.

This fundraiser is hosted by the Mount Prospect American Legion Post 525. The Legion Fall Golf Classic began in 2016, when the staff of the Mount Prospect post recognized the urgent need to help support homeless veterans in the immediate area. Proceeds from the outing go to Veterans Path to Hope (VPH) of Crystal Lake. VPH is a nonprofit exclusively devoted to supporting homeless veterans and their families. Learn more about VPH on their website: veteranspathtohope.org.

Join the fun! It's a two-man scramble! $100 per golfer includes 18 holes of golf with cart, hot dog/chips at the turn, various prizes and raffle plus an awesome buffet after golf. Opportunities for various sponsorships are available.

Anyone interested in playing in this unique two-man scramble, sponsoring a hole or donating a prize (for the raffle) can contact Commander Bill Starr at billstarr14@gmail.com or call (847) 769-1891. If you are asked to leave a message, please include your email address.
