Contractor injured in Streamwood townhouse fire
A fire at a Streamwood townhouse left one injured Tuesday morning, according to the Streamwood Fire Department.
At 11:05 a.m., crews responded to the 200 block of Green Knoll Lane. Firefighters saw smoke coming from the roof.
The fire appeared to originate in a wall. Authorities said the blaze might have been accidentally caused by construction work.
One contractor sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Two adjacent units also were damaged. The damage is estimated at $25,000, authorities said.
