Metra delays after train strikes pedestrian near Roselle

An inbound Metra train on the Milwaukee District West Line struck and killed a pedestrian Monday afternoon near Roselle, Metra reported.

Train number 2242 struck the pedestrian at about 4 p.m. near Lake Street, about a half a mile from the train station in Roselle, Metra officials said.

Trains ran about 35 minutes behind throughout the evening's commute, Metra spokesman Tom Miller said.
