Harper College hikes tuition, fees 2.5 percent

Harper College's tuition and fees will increase 2.5 percent starting this summer, following the college board's approval of new rates Wednesday.

Students at the Palatine-based community college now pay $148.75 per credit hour, but will pay $152.50 next semester. Out-of-district students will pay $409.50 per credit hour.

Board policy is to limit annual increases to 5 percent or the Higher Education Cost Adjustment rate change, which was 2.5 percent.

Last year, Harper increased tuition and fees 4.3 percent.
