Harper College gets state funds for heating project
Harper College is getting $621,070 from the state to help pay for more than $1 million in heating system repairs throughout campus.
The existing steam and condensate piping, valves and supports are failing and require replacement to maintain the integrity of the heating system that provides heat and hot water to the entire campus, according to a news release from state Rep. Tom Morrison, whose 54th district includes Harper's Palatine campus.
The project allocation is part of $11.3 million in funds released for use this week by community colleges throughout Illinois.
