Mount Prospect Downtown Block Party set for July 22-23

Mount Prospect and the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce will host the Downtown Block Party July 22 and 23.

The free festival will feature live music, food and beverages and a business expo. It will be held at the corner of Emerson Street and Busse Avenue, next to village hall.

Festival hours are 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, July 22 and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 23. Activities will include the Kids' Zone on Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.

The entertainment lineup for the event includes Six on Friday, Kevin Purcell and the Nightburners and Sixteen Candles on Friday, and Collision, Big Brothers Vinyl, Blackberry Jam, Fletcher Rockwell and Boy Band Review on Saturday.
