Campaign litter

Once again I'm writing to express my dismay and frustration with the placing of campaign signs on public roads, intersections, easements and so on. My main problem is I know that our public works department will have to use our tax dollars to remove all of this litter. Why do campaigns have no respect for "do not litter" signs? Why do they disobey the rules every election cycle? Maddening!
