An option for suburban meeting and event planners

When looking for a corporate meeting or event, there are a few things event planners inherently look for: meeting room amenities, food & beverage and parking. From there needs can expand in numerous ways to include everything from entertainment to lodging to having someone on-site who can locate any last minute requests.

Look no further.

"We really are the perfect combination" says director of marketing Ken Churilla. "By operating all three locations in La Banque Hotel, La Voute bistro and Ravisloe Golf Club with the hotel and golf course only three minutes from each other, we can meet every need an event planner could imagine for gathering of as few as half a dozen to well over two hundred."

Q: Tell us a little about Ravisloe Golf Club.

A: Ravisloe Golf Club is perfect for a corporate event. At Ravisloe, our clubhouse building was built in the 1920s and from the moment patrons come up the drive, they're immediately transported to a bygone era of style and grace not since matched.

Once inside, the ballroom features a variety of seating arrangements and is surrounded by panoramic views of the golf course. If you're looking for something a little smaller, groups can own our Bunker Bar & Grill.

The entire property is an eighteen room boutique hotel that marries modern style and grace while keeping the soul of the former bank intact.

One of the biggest assets companies find with La Banque is our hotel manager Meg Sakka. With over a dozen years in the corporate hospitality business, Meg possesses an extensive background managing corporate events and properties ranging from downtown Chicago to locations overseas. Additionally, as a native of the area, she comes with a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area.

Q: Tell us about La Voute Bistro v Bar.

A: La Voute is an absolute gem. An upscale restaurant and bar that affords guests all the amenities of downtown Chicago without the downtown pricing. From a food standpoint La Voute is led by Executive Chef Dominque Tougne who hails from Alsace (the Northeast region of France) and owns and operates the award winning Chez Moi in Chicago. La Voute features French-American cuisine ranging from salmon and scallops to the classic hamburger to a bone-in rib-eye steak.

Q: What about the bar?

A: As a bar, La Voute features some of the area's most elite bartenders. Tuesdays are half price wine night (bottle or glass) with Thursday evenings serving as martini nights featuring Tito's martini's starting at $5. Chicago's best Frank Sinatra singer Jim Bulanda appears live on the first and third Thursday of each month with live entertainment on other nights as well.

Q: So companies and planners are not limited to only one property?

A: Not at all. In fact, we suggest they take advantage of all we have to offer for their clients and guests. We can make things as small or as large as they want.
