Headline could give misleading impression

In response to a recent "Our View" editorial, "When the fake news label is fake, It was Trump, not CNN who disregarded the truth":

Using this headline you give a specific impression. The disclaimer that CNN did not detail the claims themselves and in fact emphasized that they had not been verified to the third paragraph of your article. Reading the headlines without getting to the third paragraph would be giving a false impression.

In response to various "Your Views" published in the past weeks, the chiding today which paints extremely negative pictures (although in many cases deserved) of Donald Trump's personality and attitudes, let us remember that all humans unfortunately are subject to failings and frailties and this includes our presidents.

These failings and frailties have come to light, sometimes while they are in office and frequently after they have left office. We need to recall Jesus' words to a crowd seeking to stone a woman caught in adultery: "Let the one among you who is without sin cast the first stone."

We hope to see a conversion of heart evidence itself. It happened with the composer of the song "Amazing Grace," a slave runner who became a minister and worked for the elimination of slavery in England.

A more recent example would be Dr. Bernard Nathanson, an ardent abortionist, one of the organizers of NARL who outlines in his "Confessions of a abortionist," the misleading information and fake statistics that made up the presentation to the U.S. Supreme Court which resulted in the Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973. His conversion is reflected in becoming a pro-life advocate, producer of the film "A Silent Scream" in the 1980s. He continued his pro-life advocacy until his death a few years ago.
